Thomas L. Russell

Photo of Thomas Russell Thomas L. Russell, director emeritus of the Office of Instructional Telecommunications at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, provided both leadership for and management of the university's distance education activities.  

His career, spanning more than 40 years, included teaching - elementary through university levels - instructional television production, research, and distance education.  He provided almost 200 seminars, conference presentations, and workshops and published over 65 articles and the book, The No Significant Difference Phenomenon. As a speaker and consultant, he continues to assist domestic and foreign institutions as well as business and government agencies to fulfill their distance education and distance training needs.
